August is the last month of our annual "International Summer Celebration" We end with everyones favorite wines from Australia. Even though we are in the middle of beautiful sunny weather Christmas wine making time is now here. Remember a 7 week wine made on August 15th isn't ready to bottle until the end of September. This allows only 3 months of aging before Christmas.

AWARD WINNERS

At the 2010 Winemakers International Amateur competition, wines made with Winexpert products were awarded 244 medals. Winexperts 7 week Australian Shiraz won Best of Show Red. This again confirms how good the quality of the wines you make really are.

NEW SEASONAL WINES

French Gamay Nouveau--This wine is like Frances Beaujolais and as such is very drinkable right after bottling like most white wines. French Gamay is a dry, medium body wine that is a seasonal release that will only be available for a short time. Please call us if you wish to reserve one for yourself. They will be available in early September.

Blackberry Port--Flavored ports have become a great hit not only to drink but also to give as gifts. Again this is a seasonal product that will be available in early September and can be pre-ordered by giving us a call.

Retirement Planning:

If you had purchased $1000.00 of Nortel stock one year ago, it would be worth $49.00.

With Worldcom, you would have had less than $5.00 left.

If you had purchased $1000.00 of Delta Airlines stock you would have $49.00 left.

But, if you had purchased $1000.00 worth of wine one year ago, drank all the wine, then turned in the bottles for the recycling REFUND, you would have $214.00.

Based on the above, the best current investment advice is to drink heavily and recycle.

LABOR DAY WEEKEND
